Winter Elite Series for northern clubs

The Winter Elite Series in Maidenhead has become well established within the calendar for southern clubs, and England Touch is now replicating this in the north in January and February, with all the teams coming together for a finals day in March.

Played on artificial surfaces at Gresham Sports Park in Nottingham on Sunday, January 16th and Sunday, February 20th, the Winter Elite Series is aimed at clubs competing in the Elite National Touch Series or top end of the Development National Touch Series. Standard Mixed team rules apply.

Play starts at 1pm and lasts until 6pm.

Just eight places are available, with teams needing to commit to both rounds at the time of booking. Entry is £225, which covers both rounds.

Teams must come from clubs who are affiliated to England Touch, with players also holding valid membership.

We do appreciate that High Performance Camps have been cancelled, and we are mindful of the current concerns regarding Covid-19’s Omicron variant. However with the limited number of teams and tournament length, shorter journeys for players and no overnight stay, we believe that it is still appropriate for the Winter Elite Series to continue as planned.

We will remain vigilant of any changes within community sport should they be announced by the UK Government and will make further announcements if required.
