Regional Franchises

Following the 2011 TWC, the High Performance team sent out numerous feedback surveys to Englands participants (i.e. players, managers, coaches and the medical team). Reviewing the results, along with discussions with national coaches, coaches from overseas and the high performance directors in Aus and NZ, England Touch are launching an annual 2 day national Touch tournament to be contested by 7 newly formed regional sides.

This is the first major change to England Touch for players and coaches in a long time. We believe it is a major step forward to helping to develop Touch across the country. With such a major change things may not run smoothly in year 1, and we expect a few teething problems along the way, but these hiccups won’t be anything our dedicated team won’t overcome.
