Touch continued to increase its profile at this year’s Bournemouth 7s Festival.
The event attracts 20,000 people, with national 7s rugby and national netball competitions taking place. But increasingly the focus on Touch has grown.
This year there was both a mixed and men’s competition, with both attracting around a dozen teams.
The mixed competition hosted some familiar names from the NTS and CTS, including Thames Valley, Galaxy and Warwick.
And at the end of 2 days of play, it was Thames Valley Vikings who took the cup title, defeating Galaxy in the final. Warwick also brought home some silverware, winning the plate competition after a loss to Thames Valley on Day 1.
