South West Regional Development details announced

England Touch has now adopted a regional selection policy with the future Elite players being selected firstly at regional level and then entering a two day tournament/Trial to select the England national sides which will be entering the European Championships to be held in Treviso, Italy in September 2012.

The South West Saxons will be holding Touch development sessions on the following dates:

Sunday 8th January between 9-12

Sunday 15th January between 9-12

A ˜trial day™ will then take place on:

Sunday 22nd January where the Saxon squads will be selected to represent the region.

Players and triallists are reminded that should they not attend the trials or subsequent training they will not be selected regardless of skill or past experience. (Players with a valid reason for absence will be considered by South west coaches.)

These events are open to both men and women wishing to be considered for selection.
