Safeguarding and Child Protection
As you maybe are aware, England Touch are driving forward our safeguarding and child protection policies and it is a requirement that all clubs affiliated to us, identify their main coaches who are working with any U18 or vulnerable adults.
It is our duty to ensure that all coaches working within our touch community hold relevant, up to date DBS checks.
We have a support system in place to enable your identified coaches to go through the process of obtaining an enhanced DBS check.

The ETA is working with GBG Online Disclosures (formerly the TMG CRB group) one of the largest criminal records checking providers in the UK, to administer online checks.

You do not need to complete online applications with us, if you as a club already have this process in place or would like to administer these checks independently. However, if you choose not to take advantage of our service, you must provide DBS registered numbers for those coaches who you have identified. All coaches names and DBS numbers will be held on our central system.
All the information needed is contained in the attached document should you wish for us to administer these online DBS checks on your behalf.

Please look carefully at the information contained in this document (Click here> Disclosure info to clubs with eligibility table) and the advice provided on the eligibility table. This will help you to make an informed decision as to who within your club requires DBS checks.

The next process is for you to email your identified person/persons and provide an independent email address for each of them. An online activation email will be sent by the GBG group and you can begin the online application process.

Your club will be charged a small administration fee (£12.60) as set by the GBG Online Disclosures group, but our verification process will be free of charge to you as an affiliated club.
