All Schools Touch Competition

All Schools Touch Competition
The organising committee of the All Schools Touch Championships (ASTC) is pleased to announce details of the inaugural schools Touch tournament to be held in Wales on Friday 10 July 2015.
.
The ASTC is one of Europe's 1st junior Touch tournaments and has been tipped to be a great success. Open to every secondary school in England – the tournament is the first of its kind and has been backed by the Welsh Touch Association and the Federation of International Touch.
Divisions are proposed for both under 18s and under 15s in boys, girls and mixed categories.
 .
Swansea recently hosted the inaugural under 18 European Touch Championships with England, France, Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland and Wales all sending representative teams.  The time is now right for a high quality schools tournament to be added to the calendar too. Touch has seen an immense growth in schools over the last few years which will support the development of the sport in the future and this competition will play a vital role in introducing the game to an ever increasing number of young people throughout the continent.
.
This year's tournament has already seen a total of 30 teams signed up and the event organisers invite expressions of interest from all secondary schools and further education establishments who may wish to consider entering teams in ASTC 2015.
